At a rose altar

At a rose altar, 90.0 x 72.7cm. oil on canvas, 2022

I pray under the sky before the red altar colored in rose.

The name of this sword is a resolve, a backbone, and my mind to guard the virtue I defined.

With this sword, I march into the world necessarily I should find.

When I breathe in I become death-yin, when I breathe out I become a life-yang.

And I am newly born in the emptiness between the breath.

The transcendental power that I gain in rebirth is soft and strong and set me free.

I become the wind itself and absorb all the energy in between earth and heaven.
